The sovereign of grand, epic, Gothic dark romance stories. Morgan, a lover of Gothic lit and vampires, writes about love, tenderness, body horror, and hunger. Their specialties are romance, horror, and fantasy, and their work blends Gothic romance with eroticism and dark and devastating religious motifs. They enjoy writing queer, sensuous, moody, and melancholy stories with complicated characters, and they especially like angst and hurt/comfort.
They're inspired by classic horror and Gothic literature. They like writers and poets like Angela Carter, Carmen Maria Machado, Mary Shelley, Octavia Butler, Bram Stoker, Toni Morrison, John Keats, William Blake, John Milton, Goethe, Clive Barker, George R.R. Martin, Ursula K. Le Guin, Anne Rice, Oscar Wilde, Jacqueline Carey, and Sheridan Le Fanu. Also inspired by the oeuvre of Cradle of Filth, they've loved studying Gothic and strange literature for years, and they've obtained a BA in English and an MA in technical writing. Their senior thesis was a 25-page analysis of queerness and homoeroticism in Faust myth adaptations. Their decadent MMF vampire romance A Flame in the Night, set in 1924 Paris, was released in April 2023. The sequel, Witch Soul, was released in July 2023. Dante was featured in Devout: An Anthology of Angels, with two short stories, "Misery in Company" and "Fade to Black," starring the calculating demon from Goethe's Faust, Mephistopheles. Providence Girls, a sapphic seaside cosmic horror romance, was released in September 2023. In the 2023 Queer Indie Awards, Providence Girls won Best Historical Fiction. Their story "Where the Road Ends" appeared in the Weird West anthology Dead Cowpokes Don't Wrangle. Their other books include King of Hell, Unholy with Eyes like Wolves, and The Saint of Heartbreak. Their most recent book is Sacrament, a vampiric dark romance coming out on Valentine's Day 2025. Their works have been featured in book boxes, including Queers Who Bite's November 2023 box (Providence Girls as the indie choice), Fae Crate's "Infernally Yours" February 2024 box (King of Hell), and Rainbow Crate's October 2024 "Transformation" box (Providence Girls as the indie choice).
