Rabbit Heart is a Southern Gothic contemporary horror novel about a young woman taken in by cannibals after a horrific event. Being adopted by serial killers wouldn’t be the highlight of most people’s lives, but for Rachel, it's a chance to heal and find the love she's always craved. After losing her biological parents when she was a child, she finally has a family again. Her adoptive parents, Marcus and Linda, enjoy many hobbies: crocheting blankets, reading Shakespeare, and killing hapless teenagers who trespass near their cabin in the Southern woods.

But when a stranger connected to one of Marcus and Linda’s victims comes into seventeen-year-old Rachel’s life, Rachel has to decide whether she should save this new and enticing person at the risk of abandoning the only family she has—or lose what humanity she has left.

Great for fans of Southern Gothic works and morbidly beautiful cannibal stories like NBC's Hannibal.
